Surviving Inspections, Surveys and Audits - Part II (1hr CE)

In this two-part CE accredited class, learn what to expect from a typical inspection by various regulatory and accrediting bodies, how to prepare for inspections in advance, and review important tips to ensure these inspections go smoothly. Compounding pharmacies that are prepared in advance for inspections will not only perform better during them but will also benefit from compliance with a number of the criteria commonly covered by inspections. This presentation can help to set your pharmacy up for success during future inspections.

Meet your instructors

L. Rad Dillon, RPh, MA, ASQ SSGB, GMPro

Rad Dillon has been involved in internal and external inspections since 1990 for a variety of sterile compounders. From 2014 through 2023, he was a contract and full-time surveyor for ACHC/PCAB, visiting hundreds of sterile and nonsterile compounding pharmacies. He is currently an inspector with NCDQS and Gates Healthcare Associates, and the founder of the Coalition for Compounding Excellence (CCE), a new 503A-focused accrediting organization.

Philip Wong, PharmD, BCSCP

Philip has been involved in interna; inspections of large health system pharmacies as well as his own. He is currently the pharmacist-in-charge for his own 503A pharmacy, Granger Pharmacy, where he has undergone numerous inspections, including by NABP, the Virginia Board of Pharmacy, and Gates Healthcare Associates. Recently his pharmacy served as a beta site for the Coalition for Compounding Excellence (CCE).
