Designing oral pharmaceutical dosage forms that prioritize patients and their needs poses a significant challenge, especially when such medicinal products need to be tailored for the pediatric population. Pediatric patients have diverse needs and characteristics. Additionally, pediatric medication presents unique pharmaceutical challenges that may

not be seen to the same extent in adult  formulations. Developing age-appropriate formulations for pediatric patients, therefore, requires careful consideration of multiple factors, including patient safety and acceptability.

In this course, Dr. Carolina Silva, Pediatrician, will discuss common pediatric diseases and the innovative solutions to provide personalized treatment options that can improve and increase the safety of certain treatments.
