In this course, Prof. Dr. Serge Perrot discusses the classification of musculoskeletal conditions, diseases of the locomotor system, and common pain syndromes. Musculoskeletal pain, particularly back and joint pain, is one of the top three reasons for doctor visits, making it a key issue for GPs and specialists.

Dr. Perrot explores the challenges of assessing pain, a subjective experience with no clear clinical markers, and debunks common misconceptions. The course also addresses the impact of work conditions, the importance of a biopsychosocial approach, and guides participants through pain assessment steps, as well as pharmacological, non-pharmacological, and complementary treatment methods. Through clinical case examples, you will gain confidence and a more positive approach to managing musculoskeletal disorders.
